How this comparison was built
Data sources. Regulator websites (Läkemedelsverket, Lægemiddelstyrelsen, DMP, Fimea, and sector-specific agencies). Public procurement platforms (Amgros, Sykehusinnkjøp HF, Hansel, Upphandlingsmyndigheten). Fractio's operational experience running B2B2C commercial operations across FMCG, pharma and medical-device sectors. Distributor-concentration numbers reflect market-share reporting from industry associations, OECD, and NSD country reports as of 2025.
Ranges, not points. Distributor margins and lead times are given as ranges because they vary with product complexity, volume and the distributor's own go-to-market posture. Treat the low end of each range as best-case (already-known product, simple regulatory, existing partner) and the high end as realistic for a first-time exporter.
What's not here. Specific tender award values, named competitor pricing, and signed contracts. For any of those, reach out — they're not the kind of thing a public comparison can carry responsibly.
Update cadence. Reviewed quarterly. The 2023 Finnish wellbeing-counties reform and the ongoing MDR/IVDR transitions mean regulatory cells move faster than commercial ones. If you spot something stale, reply to the CSV email — we'd rather fix it than let it rot.
